Fareed Amin Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, Fareed Amin was previously deputy minister of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing. He also served as deputy minister of the Ministry of Economic Development and the Ministry of International Trade and Investment. He also has served as deputy minister in other ministries or portfolios, including: Citizenship and Immigration; Intergovernmental Affairs; Small Business and Entrepreneurship; and as deputy minister responsible for Seniors and for Women’s Issues. Dr. Jamal A. Badawi Dr. Jamal A. Badawi is an Egyptian born Muslim Canadian and former professor in the Sobey School of Business, Saint Mary's University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He is a well-known author, activist, preacher and speaker on Islam and Muslims. He completed his undergraduate studies in Cairo, Egypt and his Master's and PhD degrees at Indiana University in Bloomington, In. Dr. Badawi has authored several books and articles on Islam. He also researched, designed and presented a 352-segment television series on Islam, aired in Canada, the US and other countries. Audio and video copies of this series are widely available. In addition to his participation in lectures, seminars and interfaith dialogues in North America, Dr. Badawi was invited as a guest speaker in various functions throughout the world. Waqaas Siddiqui Waqaas Siddiqui is currently based out of Toronto, ON and is the vision behind the Advanced Technology Labs, Canada Initiative. Academically, Mr. Siddiqui has been distinguished for being the youngest graduate in Rochester Institute of Technology’s history with two Masters at the age of 19 and for his various innovative designs in digital, analog, embedded, and micro-electro-mechanical products.
